Almost missed this beauty. Water drops on my sister’s front lawn at dusk with my macro lens.
Life is sweet.
California road trip with Yuriy went well. Beautiful wedding on Saturday in Sacramento. Scorching sun. Yuriy’s relatives. Checked out Napa Valley for the first time during a photo shoot, and didn’t even sample any wine. Walked around [freezing] San Francisco and ate dinner outdoors in Little Italy. Read a book and soaked up some sun at the pool.
But perhaps the most exciting… brought back 15 gallons of honey in our trunk! That’s right.. 15 whole monstrous gallons. Yuriy and I plan to make honey jars for our wedding favors and they’ll be so cute you won’t want to eat em. I love all the adorable goody jar options out there with cute fabric, ties, and labels. Honey is here, jars are delivered, and currently shopping for fabric! Hooray for summertime projects.

Noah’s Family [Part II]
More photos of my handsome nephew, Noah. This post starts off in the backyard garden, moves onto fun toys, and ends with a sweet moment between mama and papa.
Noah’s family [Part I]
Noah is baby #1 for Natalia and Ben. And nephew #2 for me. I love seeing them interact as a family because they love him so stinkin much! My favorite portraits are often around the house or some place familiar/meaningful to my subjects. These were all taken in their backyard and in their sweet little vegetable garden out back. Noah turned one year old just a couple days before the shoot so it was the perfect timing to capture him and his new walking skills.
[Because I was photographing my nephew whom I adore, I went a little overboard with the photos... Check back tomorrow for Part II!]
