Noah’s family [Part I]

Noah is baby #1 for Natalia and Ben. And nephew #2 for me. I love seeing them interact as a family because they love him so stinkin much! My favorite portraits are often around the house or some place familiar/meaningful to my subjects. These were all taken in their backyard and in their sweet little vegetable garden out back. Noah turned one year old just a couple days before the shoot so it was the perfect timing to capture him and his new walking skills.

[Because I was photographing my nephew whom I adore, I went a little overboard with the photos... Check back tomorrow for Part II!]

Eleanor Petry - Julia… Oh my! You certainly do have good blood. He is so freakin adorable!!! Love the big forehead. That runs in my family too. :) These just warmed my heart. Good job honey. :)

Olivia - What a cute little man. I loved seeing all his expressions, he has so many distinct Khochay features that it’s just adorable seeing them in miniature size.

Olivia - also.. I like the one where he’s either getting in or out of the car.. not quite sure, & he looks angry & has his mouth wide open, – was he about to fall & was scared? or was he mad about something? must have been tough, poor guy.

iRINA - Okay, so my little man, already walks, and i have those same shoes for him, they are sooooo soft and comfy. He’ll be stylin very soon in them.

Natalia K - Julia, we love these so much!! Yury actually saw them first and told me about them when I woke up this morning. I’m so glad we decided to do them in our yard–these photos will be a lovely memento we cherish for the rest of our lives.

Natalia K - @Irina–yes, Jack and Lily shoes are THE BEST for babies who are learning to walk or just started walking because they’re really soft and comfy but thick enough to be actual shoes, not like some other thin baby shoes. We got two pairs at a steep discount at Costco and one pair as a gift, and love them!

Natalia K - @Julia–do you like our “vintage” porch step? We got the front painted recently…still gotta do the back.

July 28, 2010 - 11:31 am

Julia - Natalia- Your “vintage” porch step is so full of charm, how could you ever think to repaint it?! And yes, you have a beautiful backyard.. it was perfect for a photo session.

Olivia- He was indeed falling out of the car and very frustrated about it! While he was trying to get in it, it kept spinning in circles away from him.

Tanya - I love every one of these, seriously, they are all gorgeous pictures! I love the one where Ben is kissing him, and he’s not enjoying it very much, and Natalia is still looking at the camera. Ha ha! It realy captures him well, cause if he doesn’t want something, he doesn’t want it, dang it! You know? Good job.
