During my most recent trip to Idaho, I had the best time riding these birdies with my sisters and their cute kids. We brought lots of bread to feed the ducks and relaxed/worked out our legs paddling. If I hadn’t missed my flight Monday morning, this wouldn’t have happened. It was a lovely way to end my last trip home of the summer.

Too much of a good thing.

Anastasia Marie

My friend, Anastasia Marie, launched a new site and blog today! She has been working on rebranding and launching her handmade card and stationary line, while I’ve been anxiously waiting. Yuriy and I felt lucky to tag along for her promo shoot in Seattle a couple months ago with photographer Daniel Usenko and stylist Kae Zherebnenko. I think the photos do such a good job reflecting the feminine and vintage style of stationary. I can’t wait to see the rest on Daniel’s blog next week.

Who photographs photographers?

Even before we were engaged, we got the question pretty frequently. Imagine how many times we’ve heard it since we got the ring in the past year….. “sooooo, who’s going to photograph YOUR wedding???” And most people thought they were really clever by cracking a joke and saying, “you’re not going to photograph your own wedding, are you??? Ha ha!” Except they weren’t so clever, because we heard it all the time.

Well ladies and germs, thank you for your concerns. We’re getting the job covered by these amazingly talented photographers and friends: Benj and Maddie Haisch.

Margarita and I spent time around Kirkland’s waterfront and in her favorite hangout coffee shop– Zoka. I didn’t have a problem whatsoever getting her to smile and bust out her cute laugh.

It’s that bittersweet time. End of summer… BUT… here comes fall! Fall brings so many cozy feelings with it. I’m seriously ogling Fall collections online and in stores. Lace up boots and tall socks sound nice this fall. I bought 3 cardigans in the last 2 days [Ann Taylor Loft and H&M]. But I plan to return at least one. I must.

Mama and Papa

Today is August 25th, 2010. My wedding is September 25th, 2010. I have precisely one month… 31 days to get ready. I have been fearing this day for some time. From now on, it’s DAYS til the wedding! I still have loads to do [even though the groom would tell you otherwise].

While in Idaho a couple weeks ago, I sifted through old family photos to find pictures for our wedding slideshow. I can’t get over how beautiful my parents looked on their wedding day. They were married in Ukraine almost 29 years ago.
